Kleber Matheus
Sao Paolo-based artist Kleber Matheus creates a contemporary vision of the Brazilian aesthetic in an oeuvre that spans illustration, product design, and scenography. Known especially for its use of neon light tubes, his artistic work reinterprets movements from the ’60s and ’70s, contrasting elements of the organic and the geometric, detailed technical know-how and pure abstraction.
His work has been widely exhibited in Brazil, including at the Sao Paulo Biennial, and internationally in Paris and New York. He has created scenography works for such projects as a Brazil-themed installation at Le Bon Marché in Paris and the Google offices in Sao Paulo, among others. He also art-directs editorials and campaigns for fashion and jewelry brands and Vogue Brasil.
